TC-K14/J14
Bare tip temperature sensor type K/JThe TC-K14B is a fast-response K-type thermocouple engineered for applications where rapid, accurate temperature measurement is essential. Unlike conventional sheathed thermocouples, the TC-K14B features an exposed welded-bead junction with minimal thermal mass, enabling it to detect temperature changes within fractions of a second. This makes it the preferred choice for dynamic temperature monitoring tasks in research, testing, and industrial quality control environments.
The sensor is constructed from a fine-gauge Chromel-Alumel (K-type) thermocouple wire pair, twisted together and insulated with a flexible fiberglass braid. The green-and-white color coding of the lead wire follows the international K-type thermocouple standard, providing clear polarity identification. The fiberglass insulation offers excellent thermal resistance and flexibility, allowing the sensor to be routed through confined spaces and around complex geometries without risk of insulation damage.
At the instrument end, the TC-K14B is fitted with a standard miniature K-type quick-disconnect connector (green housing, labeled 'K NiCr+ / NiAl−'), which is compatible with a wide range of handheld thermometers, data loggers, and temperature indicators that accept the IEC 60584 / ANSI miniature thermocouple connector standard. The plug-and-play design eliminates the need for field wiring, enabling rapid deployment and sensor replacement without tools or specialist knowledge.
The lead wire length is fully customizable, making the TC-K14B adaptable to installations where the measurement point is located at a significant distance from the instrument. As part of the PIDMaxWell range of temperature measurement solutions, the TC-K14B is designed to integrate seamlessly with PIDMaxWell PID temperature controllers, temperature transmitters, and compatible third-party instrumentation.
NTC 10K
NTC 10K M8 Screw-Type Temperature SensorThe NTC10K Series is a compact, high-precision Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) thermistor temperature sensor housed in a rugged stainless steel M8 screw-body probe. Designed for direct installation into threaded ports on pipework, tanks, heat exchangers, and machinery, this sensor delivers accurate, low-cost temperature measurement across a wide operating range without the need for signal conditioning or cold-junction compensation.
At the heart of the sensor is a precision NTC thermistor element with a nominal resistance of 10 kΩ at 25 °C and a B-value (B25/100) of 3950 K ± 1%. The thermistor element is encapsulated within a 4 mm diameter stainless steel probe, sealed with high-temperature epoxy resin to ensure moisture ingress protection. The M8 threaded body incorporates a high-temperature silicone gasket to provide a leak-proof seal when installed into a threaded port. A 150 mm flat silicone lead wire terminates in a standard 2-pin SMP (Micro-Fit style) connector for fast, tool-free connection to the host system.
The NTC10K series is fully compatible with Maxwell's range of temperature controllers, as well as third-party controllers, HVAC control boards, and microcontroller-based systems that accept a passive NTC thermistor input. The sensor's small probe diameter, short lead wire, and plug-and-play connector make it an ideal drop-in component for OEM equipment manufacturers and system integrators.
TC- K4/J4
Probe thermocouple K/J without screw fittingsThe TC-K4/TC-J4 series is a high-performance, versatile probe-type thermocouple temperature sensor designed for a wide range of industrial, scientific, and process-control applications. The sensor consists of a stainless-steel protective sheath enclosing a precision thermocouple element, terminated with a braided-shield extension lead wire and fork-type (spade) terminal connectors. Four thermocouple calibration types — K, J, T, and E — are available to cover measurement ranges from cryogenic temperatures down to -200 °C up to +1260 °C, accommodating virtually every industrial temperature-measurement requirement.
The probe sheath is manufactured from 304 stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical durability. The extension lead wire is protected by a metallic braided shield (aluminium foil + tinned-copper braid) that effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference and ensures signal integrity over long cable runs. Both probe diameter and insertion length are fully customisable, and the lead wire length can be specified to any required dimension. An optional waterproof (IP67) sealed construction is available for use in wet or immersion environments. All products comply with IEC 60584 international standards.
Quick Connectors
Thermocouple Quick-Connect Plugs and SocketsThe PIDMaxWell Quick Connectors series provides a complete range of thermocouple quick-connect plugs and sockets for use with K, J, T, E, and N type thermocouples and extension wires. Available in both standard and miniature sizes, and in nylon (up to 220 °C) or ceramic (up to 650 °C) body materials, the connectors are colour-coded in accordance with universal thermocouple standards — yellow for K, black for J, violet for E, blue for T, and orange for N — making polarity identification and type verification immediate and error-free in the field.
Each connector is supplied as a matched male (plug) and female (socket) pair. The polarised pin geometry prevents incorrect insertion, and the screw-terminal wire clamps inside each connector body accept a wide range of thermocouple and extension wire gauges without soldering. The compact miniature format is ideal for space-constrained installations and portable instrumentation, while the standard format provides a more robust grip for fixed industrial installations. All connectors are fully customisable and available in bulk quantities to order.
