This video demonstrates a test we did on Maxwell SCR 3 phase power regulator The instruments you are able to see right away is an oscilloscope which shows the square wave of the load, the one our test engineer holds on hand is a standard signal generator which generates 4-20mA standard input signals, we feed the SCR with a small input and gradually increase the input, as you can see from the video, The lights in the video turned brighter as the input increase. And the 3 voltage meter shows the voltage of each phase, Voltage of each phase increases from 0V to somewhere close to 380Vac, other features like soft-start, minimum and maximum output, manual control, over temperature protections are also available with this SCR. RS-485 Modbus communication are also available

    Yes, please specify the input according to our ordering information while order this unit, the input is fixed once selected, the input can be 4-20mA, 0-10Vdc, 0-5V, or potentiometer,
  3. What are the different current options for the regulator ?
    SCR-51 series regulator offers 4 options on the current, 40 amps, 60 amps, 75amps and 100 amps
  4. Are the physical size the same for different current options ?
    No, 40 amps is the one with smallest size, 60 amps and 75 amps has the same size, 100 amps with largest size
  5. Any built-in fast fuse for failure protection ?
    No, the fast fuse for SCR-51 needs to be deployed externally , please contact our sales team at sales@pidmaxwell.com for details on the fuse
  6. What is the difference between Phase-Angle and Zero-Fired (Burst) control, and which one should I choose for my application?
    Phase-Angle: For motors, transformers, loads needing continuous power adjustment. Not suitable for resistive loads with low thermal mass or where electrical noise is a concern.
    Zero-Fired (Burst): Ideal for resistive heating loads (ovens, furnaces) as it eliminates electrical noise. Not for lights or motors
  7. Do I need a heatsink, and if so, what size? Is forced-air cooling (a fan) required?
    The heatsink is built-in, integrated with the unit. the DC powered cooling fans is also part of the unit
  8. What is the warranty period of this unit
    We offer 12 months warranty for this SCR
  9. What is the typical lead time for this unit
    Depends on the specific order, the lead time is 7-12 working days
