Screw-in Type PT100 RTD Temperature SensorThe PT100-1 is a screw-in type Platinum Resistance Thermometer (PRT) designed and manufactured by PIDMaxWell for demanding industrial temperature measurement applications. Built around a high-purity platinum sensing element that conforms to the IEC 60751 standard (R₀ = 100 Ω at 0 °C, α = 0.00385 Ω/Ω/°C), the PT100-1 delivers exceptional accuracy and long-term stability across a wide temperature range of −50 °C to +300 °C.
The sensor features a compact stainless steel probe body with a precision-machined threaded fitting that enables direct screw-in mounting into pipes, vessels, machinery, and process equipment without the need for additional fittings or adapters. Standard thread options include M6×1 mm, M8×1.25 mm, and 1/4 BSP, while custom thread specifications are available on request. The probe diameter and insertion length can likewise be tailored to the customer's exact installation requirements.
A key distinguishing feature of the PT100-1 is its fully customisable lead wire assembly. Four insulation materials — stainless steel braided, silicone, fibre glass, and PTFE (Teflon) — are offered to suit environments ranging from high-vibration industrial machinery to high-temperature ovens and chemically aggressive atmospheres. Lead wire lengths of 2 m, 3 m, and 5 m are available as standard, with custom lengths produced to order. The sensor is supplied in a 3-wire configuration as standard, minimising lead resistance errors and ensuring measurement accuracy over long cable runs.
