The sensor is constructed from a fine-gauge Chromel-Alumel (K-type) thermocouple wire pair, twisted together and insulated with a flexible fiberglass braid. The fiberglass insulation offers excellent thermal resistance and flexibility, allowing the sensor to be routed through confined spaces and around complex geometries without risk of insulation damage.
